Mourning Jewelry Hair Floral Stick Pin

Offering a delicate 10K gold stick pin with a lovely floral design, with cut hair, late 19th century. Hair is cut and glued onto MOP (mother of Pearl). The pin and frame tests as 10K, it is approx. 3" x 3/4" and total weight is 5.23 gms.

This piece is one of many from a private collector that decided to sell after 50+ years of collecting Victorian Mourning Jewelry. She has no family and was afraid that someone wouldn’t know what the collection was and throw it away. She and her husband traveled to England every year to add to the collection. She is a long time customer of the antiques shop and she trusted us to purchase and find new homes for her treasured pieces.
